The artwork depicts the former Monument to the Workers in Goiânia — dismantled under the pretext of a renovation of the square where it was located. Its removal came in the wake of successive acts of vandalism against the monument and state repression of labor movements in the city.

The challenge was to translate a political erasure into a visual metaphor. An almost empty square, with the monument and a police officer restraining a passerby.
